Rome Tool and Die Company is a privately-held company with fifty-five years experience in the design and manufacture of high quality brake shoes for medium and heavy duty truck and bus applications. STEMCO, an EnPro Industries company, aquired it in 2011. At that time Rome Tool and Die was the leading supplier of new brake shoes to the aftermarket in the United States. STEMCO then combined Rome Tool amd Die's brake shoes with STEMCO Duroline brake pads to offer a completely lined brake shoe kit that will offer important performance and safety benefits to fleet operators.
