This webinar is hosted by Governor Northam's office and Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy (DMME). During this webinar, presenters will provide an overview of the goals and objectives of the Virginia Clean Economy Act (VCEA) and a detailed review of the utility energy storage requirements of the VCEA. Presenters will discuss the current policy landscape, existing barriers to large-scale energy storage deployment, opportunities for 3rd party developers, and how storage can bolster energy and economic resilience for all Virginians. Partners include Energy Storage Association, the national energy storage trade association, Virginia Advanced Energy Economy, and the Virginia Solar Energy Development and Energy Storage Authority.
