Join us for a stakeholder feedback session on the Utility-Scale Wind Model Ordinance for the Carolinas.
The Southeastern Wind Coalition and NC Clean Energy Technology Center invite stakeholders to review and provide feedback on the draft Utility-Scale Wind Model Ordinance. Designed as a flexible resource for local governments across the Carolinas, the model ordinance can be adopted and adapted to reflect local priorities and conditions. Feedback from this session will help inform the final draft of the model ordinance.
Participants will have an opportunity to discuss the draft with the ordinance development team and hear perspectives from other stakeholders. The session will bring together participants from academia, agriculture, industry, environmental organizations, and local government to help ensure the model ordinance reflects a range of perspectives and community needs.
This event was prepared as part of the Carolinas Development Assistance and Siting Hub (DASH), which provides education and technical assistance on reliable energy siting and permitting issues for local governments and communities in North and South Carolina. The NC Clean Energy Technology Center leads the initiative in collaboration with NC Cooperative Extension, the Southeastern Wind Coalition, the South Carolina Energy Office, and the Center for Energy Education.
